The Gizmo Tales Series & Puzzle Book

Gizmo is an Australian Labradoodle. Some people think he’s a dog, but don’t tell him that. Gizmo weighs almost 90 pounds, but his brown curly hair makes him look even bigger. He has big round eyes that look right into you, as if he’s your best friend. He can read words in three different languages, obey hand signals, and chomp down a peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich faster than a kid who’s late for lunch. Don’t let that fool you – Gizmo will eat anything from pizza and pretzels to slightly melted cookie dough ice cream. He has been called a living vacuum cleaner, but don’t let it slip. Gizmo might be insulted.

Gizmo was born in Australia, on a farm called Rutland Manor. He grew up in New York and trained to become a working dog. Because he is a licensed therapy dog, Gizmo often visits libraries, community centers, and bookstores where you would not ordinarily expect to see a dog. As a therapy dog, he helps people feel better about their problems. Gizmo also visits classrooms from kindergarten through high school where he works with students to write, illustrate, and design their own books.
